New Product Announcement: MIC

The MIDS-Main Terminal Interface Controller (MIC) is a 19-inch rack mountable stand-alone Ethernet 10/100M TCP/IP interface to the MIL-STD-1553B Platform Type A interface of the MIDS LVT(1) and LVT(2). The MIC has Bus Monitoring (BM) as well as Bus Controlling (BC)capabilities thus facilitating monitoring and active participation on the MIDS-network. By providing the interface from the MIL-STD-1553B bus to Ethernet, the MIC opens up a new range of applications by using COTS-equipment to communicate with MIDS LVT(1) and LVT(2) and distribute the data across (wired/wireless) networks.

The MIDS-Main Terminal Interface Controller connects directly to the J3 (databus) connector of the MIDS LVT(1) and LVT(2). The MIC field of application is to convert from MIL-STD-1553B Platform Type A to Ethernet TCP/IP. The MIC can be used to distribute the data across a LAN as well as a WAN, configurable network settings enable the user to select the optimal configuration.

Please see the product's brochure for more information: MIC.pdf

New Product Announcement: MSI

The MIDS-Main Terminal Support Port Interface (MSI) is a 19-inch rack mountable stand-alone Ethernet 10/100M interface to the MIDS LVT(1) and LVT(2) “Support Port”. The MSI is designed to facilitate message forwarding from the MIDS-network to applications used distribute this information across (wired/wireless) networks.

The MIDS-Main Terminal Support Port Interface connects directly to the J3 (databus) connector of the MIDS LVT(1) and LVT(2). All of the signals on the J3 connector pass through the MSI except for those of the “Support Port”. Two RJ-45 sockets connectable to 10/100M Ethernet on the back panel of the MSI provide access to the Support Port.

Please see the product's brochure for more information: MSI.pdf
