SyncMate-MKII HDLC

The SyncMate-MKII HDLC is a single channel bi-directional HDLC Synchronous to Asynchronous pocket size converter. The unit is the HDLC version of the SyncMate-MKII. The SyncMate-MKII is capable of high throughput speeds and has a HDLC frame monitoring facility that enables users to determine the source of a communication problem. The SyncMate-MKII HDLC is freely configurable using a setup menu that can be accessed through the asynchronous side of the unit. The versatility of the SyncMate-MKII HDLC makes it an excellent choice when there is a requirement to interface a standard asynchronous communication port with a single synchronous HDLC channel.

Features of the SyncMate-MKII HDLC:

  • Monitor mode – allows analyzing of the synchronous incoming data stream through the use of a   standard serial terminal
  • High throughput – up to 64 kbit sync, 230k4 async
  • CRC-CCITT and CRC-16 both supported
  • Lower power consumption – ideal for mobile applications, power is derived from RS-232 signal lines
  • Lower operating voltage – enables the unit to be powered from modern low power RS-232 drivers
  • Selectable clock inversion – no need to use a ClockMate when hooking up to mil-std modems
  • UCC compatible – same features as a single UCC channel in HDLC-mode
  • 15kV ESD protection (HBM) – unit is protected against ESD-events of 15kV (HBM), 8kV (IEC 1000-4-2 CD) and 15kV (IEC 1000-4-2 AGD)
